Knotwork Costumes

My name is Helen Dahlqvist and I started sewing Irish Dancing costumes as a hobby. I learnt how to knit when I was 5 years old and knitted my first sweather when I was 11. Sewing and embroidery are other things I enjoy doing so making my own Irish Dance costume was an easy decision. Girls size 12
Cream coloured dress with purple/violet and gold appliqué. Base fabric has a gold metallic thread woven into it. Appliqué in glitter dot, silk, rocky lame and one fabric that I don't know what it is called. Thread colours are metallic gold and purple. Lining is violet Thai Silk. Bloomers are made of lycra and there is also a crown included. Hemline, neckline and sleeves are scalloped. I have made the bodice lining removable for easy washing. Girl modeling the dress is 164 cm tall, so the dress would fit someone around 157 cm.
Dress was made in a non-smoking home with no pets.

Cream coloured dress with turquoise and gold appliqué. Base fabric has a gold metallic thread woven into it. Appliqué in glitterdot, glitterdiamond and rocky lamé. Thread colours are black and metallic turquoise. Lining in turquoise satin with bloomers made of lycra. There is a crown included. Hemline and neckline are scalloped. There is 1 inch of let out in each side seam and 1 inch of let down in bodice and sleeves for lengthening. I have made the bodice lining removable for easy washing.
The dress was made in a non-smoking home with no pets.
